At the Koffler Vision Group we specialize in regular and
complicated fits of contact lenses. Dr. Bruce H. Koffler
and Dr. Satya V.S. Reddy have published several articles on
contact lens fitting and are involved in new developments in the
contact lens industry.
We fit all types of contact lenses. This includes rigid
gas permeable, hybrid, and soft contact lenses. Lenses can
be fit for keratoconus, astigmatism, surgically altered corneas,
color deficient eyes and those needing correction for
farsightedness, nearsightedness and bifocal correction.
Different wearing modalities are also available: daily wear
lenses, disposable, extended wear, and continuous wear are
choices you can make for different lifestyles. At the
Koffler Vision Group our ophthalmic team will teach you the
aspects of caring for your contact lenses and support you during
the learning phase of using your new contacts. Our staff
is available to answer your questions during office hours.
It is important to remember that a careful fit following a
comprehensive eye exam is imperative for your success in using
contact lenses and choosing the right lens for you.
A newer contact lens modality is Corneal Refractive Therapy
Lenses (CRT). These are lenses worn at night while
sleeping that reshape the cornea, no contact lenses or glasses
wear are needed during the day. Patients with low to
moderate myopia are ideal candidates.
Doctors Koffler and Reddy have both been involved in various
contact lens research studies. Dr. Koffler is a past
president of CLAO and Dr. Reddy previously served on the Board
of Directors for 3 years. Both doctors will be actively
involved during the fitting process.
Brenda Vanhoose, ABO, NCLE, COA is our contact lens coordinator.
Brenda will assist you in any of your contact lens concerns.
