should include an evaluation of your proper eye glass correction,
visual acuity assessment, glaucoma screening, cataract evaluation,
dilated exam assessing retinal disease or diabetic pathology, assessment
of optic nerve function and attention to any of your ophthalmic
concerns.
At the Koffler Vision Group a complete eye exam includes:
• A thorough medical and ophthalmic history
• Assessment of vision both corrected and uncorrected
• Refraction for glasses if needed• Muscle balance testing
• Visual fields for peripheral vision
• Dilated slit-lamp examination to check the health of the
optic nerve and the retina
• Glaucoma screening
Other tests which may be necessary include:
• Testing for contact lens fitting
• Keratometry readings• Corneal topography
• Further visual field testing
• A-scan biometry for cataract surgery
• Specular microscopy
